Food Storage Cornbread Dressing

 

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Begin by preheating the oven to 350.
  2. Brown the bacon in a 2 quart sauce pan.
  3. Add the garlic, sausage, and onions and sweat with the bacon until lightly browned.
  4. Add the butter and melt together.
  5. Add the water and remaining ingredients, except the bread.
  6. Bring to a simmer for 3 minutes.
  7. Place the dried bread in a large bowl.
  8. Pour stuffing mixture over the bread in small batches while stirring.
  9. Mix well.
  10. Bake on a cookie sheet for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.

Loaded Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook bacon until browned. Take out of pan and set aside.
  2. Drain out half of the bacon grease. Add in garlic and caramelize.
  3. Add in everything else but the mashed potatoes, bacon, cheese, and chives. Bring up to a simmer
  4. Once at a simmer, add in remaining ingredients and stir.
  5. Enjoy!

Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  •  2 c. Cranberries – Freeze Dried
  •  1 c. orange juice
  •  1/2 c. water
  •  1 tsp. orange zest
  •  1/4 c. THRIVE Cane Sugar
  •  1/2 vanilla bean, scraped
  •  1/8 tsp. star anise extract
  •  2 tbsp. butter

Directions:

  1. Heat all ingredients except butter in a pan and reduce until syrupy (about 7 minutes).
  2. Finish with butter.

Turkey Cranberry Fritters
 

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix turkey, bouillon, seasoning blends, onions, celery, cranberries, and milk and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine all remaining ingredients except butter in a separate bowl and mix well.
  3. Add to turkey mixture and drizzle butter in. Do not over mix; stir lightly until folded together and moistened.
  4. Preheat frying oil to about 300⁰F in a pan (at least 2” deep) and drop batter into oil in small 1-inch balls.
  5. Fry 3–4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Cool on paper towels until dry.
